By thinking about fragility I pondered wether we would take the term quite literally, and we did.

After talking about making something glass based we decided to go with the crystall theme, as it was less used and also more likeable by us both.

We decided to make a platformer quite early in development, we did throw 2-3 other ideas but the concept of a fragile platformer seemed nice to roll with.

Personally, when it came to the main character, I tried making something like a crystal humanoid, but after some tried that I didn't like I asked myself what the creature needs in order for us to be able to play the game. The answer was that it only needed feet, and probably eyes to make it look more likeable. I thought that long pointy legs would make for a nicer character than making it have feet, it really didn't fit. The rest of the visuals were just about sticking to the crystal theme that we decided.

Lastly about the music. I approached it a bit simply. I mainly wanted to make a little tune that would remind us of the crystal environment we're in, and with much reverb so that it sounds like we're in a cave or something.

Had I had more time I would create some cracking sound effects too but well, the game turned out this way and we're both quite happy with its state, at time of uploading it!
